You should always celebrate how much you love your friends and families but with valentines day just passed and mother’s day is coming up, here is a cute little tutorial for you and your children to make little, personalised cards for their loved ones.

Step one of making your heart card: Gather your tools!

You will need:

  • Scissors,
  • A white paper plate,
  • A black marker pen or felt tip,
  • 1 sheet of white paper
  • A glue stick and
  • Brown ready mix paint!

Step 2: Paint

Roughly cover, splodge and paint your plate with the brown paint. If you’re feeling brave you could also use your hands!

Step 3: Cut the shape

Cut two little sections from the plate, these will be really useful shortly!

Step 4: The big reveal!

Stick the extra pieces of the paper plate like a trunk from the centre of the elephants face, cut out two circles of the white paper and use the marker pen to put a dot in each for the eyes!

Fun Alternatives!

These are fantastic for a rainy day, you could also cut out eye holes and put a little bit of elastic on these to make them into awesome masks!
